Woodrow Wilson Bridge Replacement, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Alexandria, VA

Project Manger. Supervising and managing the program management support staff for this $2.5 billion project that involves the replacement of the existing bridge and improving the Route 1 and Telegraph Road interchanges in Virginia and I-295 and MD 210 interchanges in Maryland. Project encompasses over 50 bridge structures, 6 miles of interstate highway and numerous infrastructure improvements and community enhancements.

FHWA Indefinite Quantity Contract, District of Columbia Department of Public Works,
Washington, DC

Construction Manager. Provided Construction Management and Quality Assurance Support Services for this Federal project. Managed and Supervised these services that involved Quality Control; Enforce traffic control procedures & systems; Monitor work for all other assigned inspectors & crew members of the contractor; Monitor electrical conduits & trenching, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC)curb, curb & gutter, sidewalk, wheelchair ramp, driveway, apron, drive pad, brickwork, manhole adjustments, locating utilities, stone curb placement, catch basin modification & Inlet adjustment, raising & lowering grades for sidewalks or roadway depending on cost effectiveness, manhole box placement, bus pad placement, sign placement & removal, top soil & sod placement, roadway excavation & aggregate, base grading, reinforced utility & deteriorated PCC placement, milling & asphalt super pave applications, Thermoplastic pavement markings. Staff also prepared the IDR (Inspectors Daily Report) and the time schedules with residents for work to be done on their property sites.

North and West Flank Parking Garage Structures, Dulles International Airport, Washington Metropolitan Airport Authority, Dulles, VA

Scheduler and Cost Estimator. Provided scheduling and cost estimating services for these two major parking structures at Washington Dulles International Airport. These twin five level, cast-in-place and post-tensioned, concrete structures have provided much needed additional parking, 4300 and 3,964 parking spaces respectively, for one of the busiest airports in the country. They feature new ramps, signage and signal systems as well state of the art revenue collection and will-control systems.

James F. Oyster Elementary School, District of Columbia Public Schools, Washington, DC

Scheduler. Provided schedule review services for this crucial project was the first in the District of Columbia to be delivered through the utilization of a public/private partnership. The new 58,000 SF school and is located at the intersection of 29th street, N.W. and Calvert St NW. The concrete structure has five levels consisting of an underground parking garage and four above ground levels. In addition to the standard administrative and educational space the school features a multipurpose area on the first floor, Gym on the second floor, classrooms and a state of the art Media Center on the fourth floor.

Pentagon Renovation Design Support Services, Basement and Wedge II, Baltimore Corps of Engineers, Arlington, VA

Cost Estimator. Prepared cost estimates for the renovation of this existing basement space. Project involved a variety of task orders such as cost engineering for renovation of office spaces, medical clinics, storage facilities and athletic facilities. The 1.4 million SF master task was occupied in three major building packages. Total renovation cost was approximately $250 million.

African Heritage Cultural Arts Center Music Hall, Miami-Dade County Park and Recreation Department, Miami, FL

Cost Estimator. Prepared cost estimates for this new 6500 SF community facility that features classrooms, a crafts workshop, practice rooms, activity rooms and a new music auditorium. Project also involved demolition of the existing site, site development for the new facility, utilities, landscaping, site improvements and a new parking lot with striping and lighting.

Northern Virginia District Wide Maintenance Construction Inspection Services, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Various locations in Northern VA

Construction Manager. Providing Quality Assurance oversight of inspection staff for various projects throughout the Northern Virginia Area. Quality Control work includes maintenance of traffic; milling of existing pavement and surface preparation; pavement overlay placement; and stripping. Project also involves the monitoring the installation of guardrail, sidewalks and safety improvements. Also, review Inspector Daily Reports and recorded quantities.

Scheduler. Provided as-built scheduling services for a bridge maintenance contract for VDOT Northern Virginia District. Project involved the repair preparation and repainting of five bridge structures on the Capital Beltway System in Virginia. Scope of work includes: replacement of deteriorated bearings and expansion of joints; reconstruction of expansion joints; adjustment and lubrication of all misaligned or frozen bearing devices; preparation and spot paint bearing devices, rolled beams and/or girders. Lead effort to create a history record of activity to address project impact delay issues utilizing Project Management software.
